I too am afraid.
The rise and rise of all fundamentalism in our world today is an ever-increasing danger to all of us.
..and it's all to easy not to speak out against racism, sexism, ageism and every other "ism" that we all encounter every single day.
Nothing has changed since Martin Niemoller spoke these words:-
First they came for the Communists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Communist.
Then they came for the Trade's Unionists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Trade's Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Jew.
Then they came for me,
and there was no one left to speak out for me.
