Boris Becker

The yarn is Lana Grossa Meilenweit. 65% Virgin wool, 15% Silk, 16% Nylon 4% Cashmere. Colour number 1. 190 m (207.7yds) per 50 gm.

The design is my own. The main sock is knit toe up using the Andersson Heel and KnitPicks 2.25mm circular needle(80cm lenght). I knit the 1 x1 rib using Hiya Hiya 1.5mm.

I used the EZ sewn cast (bind) off.

I had to look up to see who Boris Becker is. Don't feel so bad I didn't know as a non-sports minded American! :)

Gorgeous socks as usual. You really need to write a book of sock patterns! Charlene Schurch look out!

Superior socks! This is a great style for anyone, isn't it? Any more thought about selling your patterns?

The Becker socks are fun, red for his hair and the cable for a traditional tennis sweater? Looking good!

Colin,

Happy New Year, and this is a wonderful sock - I want the pattern, please. Please consider a book, or selling the pdf download of individual patterns.

Great socks! Much more beautiful than BB with his weird eyes. Could you do Andre Agassi next time :)?

How can I buy the pattern?

Beautiful socks Knitman (as if you didn't already know.) You really should publish some of your patterns. Your designs are exceptional.

Glad your trip to Germany went so nicely and thanks for sharing the great photos - love those new hats. I am going to have to visit Germany sometime before I die.

Colin!

Your sock is GORGEOUS!! I love it. And your names always make me laugh ;-)

I have to try one of your Andersson heels - I'd given up on toe-up socks because I didn't like the short-row heels I was making. Your heels look lovely.

Much health and happiness to you in 2008!

As usual Colin, your knitting is superb and the pattern absolutely gorgeous. Is the pattern for sale anywhere? Please let me know, I would love to give them a try. Also, Colin, on a private note you are very, very strong individual....I wish I had the strength you have to endure what I am personally striving to work through right now......

Colin, beautiful socks!!! But you know you are the king of knitting.....just caught up on your blog and I am soooooo happy for you. I think of you often and wish I lived overseas so I could meet you and your dogs. You are such a dear, sensitive, sweet man and you are so fortunate to have John to share your life. I know it must be hard for others to understand us 'who were hurt'. Glad you had a lovely birthday and holidays....yes, do it again and again and again in the years to come. Celebrate the grand 'product' you are!! We all love you dearly.

Love the socks. Glad you had a wonderful holiday season. When are you going to write a sock book or at least start selling your patterns? Love the pattern-this is one patterned sock I think my husband would wear (he's a sock purist).

Congratulations on a great sock design. I'm going to age myself here but I was a fan of Boris Becker - wonderful tennis player to watch.
